LTB Lasertechnik Berlin and PTL Ldt. collaborate on gas supply for LTB’s Lasers and Laser measurement technology
LTB Lasertechnik Berlin GmbH, leading developer and manufacturer of short-pulse lasers and laser-based measurement technology for industrial analysis, and Products of Technology Ltd (ptl), the award-winning Scottish manufacturer of gas generators for laboratory and industrial use, are to collaborate in the development of specialised nitrogen generators for production of laser supply gases from the atmosphere.
In the future, lasers and measurement systems using this new technology will be operated without gas cylinders and thereby sources of danger and error will be eradicated. The lifetime and maintenance cycle of the generators are synchronised with those of the lasers.
Batch production of the generators will begin in September 2002. Production and final testing will be carried out by PTL in Scotland and sales will be carried out via LTB, as an accessory for the laser equipment.
