How LTB Lasertechnik Berlin Strengthens German-Polish Cooperation and Friendship
If Europe wants to maintain its technological sovereignty, a strong German-Polish partnership is essential. For LTB Lasertechnik Berlin GmbH, this past week was not about theoretical considerations, but about active implementation. Two teams were deployed simultaneously to strengthen this vital axis between Germany and Poland—on the political stage in Berlin and directly within the scientific centers of Kraków, Gliwice, and Poznań. The message of the week is clear: business grows from relationships, and innovation requires cross-border synergies.
Strategic Dialogue in Berlin: Focusing on Future Markets
During the “German-Polish Future Markets” conference in Berlin, it became evident just how much potential lies in the close cooperation between both nations. Under the motto “Synergy of Ideas: From Digitalization to the Green Economy,” over 200 representatives from business, science, and politics discussed Europe’s digital and economic sovereignty.
A central theme was photonics as a key technology—ranging from quantum technology to security. Christoph Scholz of LTB Lasertechnik Berlin contributed actively to the panel discussion. LTB holds the firm conviction that a close economic and scientific relationship is essential for both countries. The announcement of four joint AI “Gigafactories” by Polish Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski underscores the current momentum within this partnership.
Scientific Collaboration in Practice
While the framework conditions were being discussed in Berlin, Lukas Streubel and Axel Wiegand were already putting cooperation into practice in Poland. The LTB team completed a busy week-long tour of various institutes within the Łukasiewicz Research Network. A highlight was the final installation of an Aryelle spectrometer at the Łukasiewicz Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics in Kraków. The team did not stop at technical installation and training; they dove straight into scientific work, capturing initial plasma signals alongside Polish researchers. The journey then took the team to the Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials, focusing on the exchange regarding refractory materials and testing, before concluding at the Poznań Institute of Technology.
Working Together for Europe’s Technological Future!
This week served as a prime example of how LTB Lasertechnik Berlin interprets German-Polish friendship: through a dialogue among equals and collaborative work at the cutting edge of technology. Whether through strategic discussions in Berlin or by providing the latest solutions in spectroscopy and laser microtechnology on-site in Poland, the goal remains the same: to pool the innovative strength of both countries to succeed together in European and global competition. We hope that support for companies and institutes remains secure in the future, allowing us to continue on this successful path.
